It was a mixed first half for Team Nova Scotia at the 2025 Canadian Lawn Bowling Championship in Edmonton.
In the Women’s Pairs, Tammy Foster-Veinot and Jackie Foster finished in 4th place with a 3-4 record including a strong 16-6 win over British Columbia in the final round of the round robin.
In the Women’s Triples, it was a 5th place finish for Vicki Balcom, Ann Marie Siteman and Lorraine Bezanson after a 3-4 record in their campaign. The big highlight of the first half came in Round 3 with a nailbiter 13-12 victory over Manitoba.
In the Men’s Fours, it was a 6th place finish for John Siteman, Grahame Usher, Raymond MacDonald and Kevin Stewart after a 2-4-1 record in the round robin. After going 0-4 in Day 1 with some tight games, it was a strong performance from Team Nova Scotia as they had a tie with Alberta A (10-10) and wins over New Brunswick (9-5) and British Columbia (17-9).
Up now, the disciplines have shifted as the Women’s Singles and Fours and Men’s Pairs and Triples have begun. We also want to welcome Jordan Gailey of Saskatchewan to Team Nova Scotia- as he replaces Terry O’Neil in the Men’s Triples as he wasn’t able to travel to Edmonton due to flight cancellations due to the recent strike at Air Canada.
Here are your first second half lineups, current standings position and the up to date results with more to come soon!
