Foster & Veinot Win Silver Fox Open Pairs in Bridgetown

6/14/2025

It was a great day today in Bridgetown as another full field of teams hit the greens for the E.W. “Silver Fox” Foster Open Pairs! A traditional favourite on the calendar, the competition lived up to expectations with top teams from all over descending in to battle it out for the top prize. Congratulations to Dave Veinot and Jackie Foster who returned to the top of the podium with a 10-8 win in the final over clubmates Tammy Foster-Veinot and Cameron Lefresne. In the 3rd place game, it was the Bridgetown duo of Gerald Hackenschmidt and Jerry Publow who took out the bronze in a 10-8 win over Steve Ogden and Vicki Balcom of Dartmouth. President Tim Jackson presented the prizes to all the teams. It was a special one as well for those related to the Silver Fox himself as the final featured two of his granddaughters (Tammy and Jackie) and his grandson-in-law (Dave) in final. Special thanks to Cam for the draw; Vicki and Julie for the kitchen, Stuart, Milledge and crew for the green, out of town teams who supported the tournament.
