It was an exciting finals day at the 2023 Provincial Singles Championship at the Dartmouth Lawn Bowls Club as our Men’s and Women’s Champions were officially determined. Congratulations to Steve Ogden and Debby Purdy who won the titles in thrilling matchups today. In the Men’s Singles Final, Steve beat his fellow Team Nova Scotia representative from the Majors John Siteman 21-5 in the afternoon session to clinch the title for another year. In the Women’s Final (which came right to the last session on Sunday afternoon)- Debby defeated her fellow Team Nova Scotia representative Ann Marie Siteman 21-20 in a thrilling 26 end battle which came right to the last point to clinch her first Women’s Singles title! Thanks to the Dartmouth Lawn Bowls Club, their Provincial Match Chair John Driscoll, the umpires and the large crew of markers who all came together to make this event an excellent one!
